Warren W. Taylor, 77, of Mifflin passed away on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at his residence.
Born on Feb. 13, 1946, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he is the son of Warren T. and Katherine (Turbett) Taylor who preceded him in death.
On Aug. 26, 1965, he married Brenda L. (Walters) Taylor with whom he was blessed to share more than 56 years of marriage before her passing on April 28, 2022.
He is survived by his daughter, Chelsea L. Boyer and her husband Rob of Port Royal; one grandson, Andrew T. Boyer and his wife Marissa; and two great- grandchildren, Brinley T. Boyer and Briggs C. Boyer.
Mr. Taylor was a 1964 graduate of Juniata Joint High School in Mifflintown.
In earlier life, Warren was employed by the United Telephone Company in Mifflintown; after that, he was employed as an Inventory Control Manager for Empire Kosher Poultry, Inc. in Mifflintown where he retired due to health reasons.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Mifflin and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandson, watching his grandson race, flying RC planes, playing guitar and singing gospel hymns, and was an ardent Philadelphia Phillies fan.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with Pastor Ron Berrus officiating. Interment will be private at Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial services at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
