Shirley A. Yoder, 87, of Belleville, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, at Greenwood Village in Lewistown.
She was the daughter of the late William C. and Helen P. (Specht) Elliot. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank G. Yoder on Aug. 6, 1973, daughter-in-law, Myrene Yoder, in 1999, brothers Donald, James and George Elliot and sister Barbara Baker.
She is survived by children: Michael Yoder and wife, Leora, Kathy and husband, Samuel "Bob" Glick, Beth and husband, Sidney Yoder all of Belleville, Vernon Yoder and wife, Donna of Liverpool and Randy Yoder and wife, Tammy of Belleville. 12 grandchildren: Joshua, Jesse, Jenna, Lyndsey, Ben, Frank, Heidi, Titus, Micah, Valerie, Vincent, Derek; 22 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mary Barr and husband, Pete of Lewistown, and three sisters-in-law, Sara Elliot, Phyllis Elliot and Wilgus Elliot, all of Lewistown.
She was retired from MCS Bank where she was a bank teller for 19 years.
She formerly owned and operated a ceramic shop in Belleville for a number of years, enjoyed sewing, baking, making crafts, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She was a member of the Watts Memorial United Methodist Church in Belleville.
Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, at Watts Memorial United Methodist Church, 16 Walnut Steet, Belleville, PA with Pastor Doug Pierce officiating. Her family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
