John Henry Ross Jr., 51, of Richlands, N.C., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023, unexpectedly at his home.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lynda Pitcher Ross; his two daughters, Elizabeth and Emily Ross; parents, John Henry Ross, Sr, and Paula Ann Treaster Ross of Yeagertown, Pa.; brother, George Ross (Priya) of East Berlin, Pa.; sisters, Michelle Shirey of Belleville, Pa., and Lisa Snyder (Jason) of McVeytown, Pa.; niece, Diya Ross and nephews, Dean Ross and Andrew Shirey.
John graduated from Indian Valley High School, Class of 1990. He earned his Bachelors degree in Business Education from Bloomsburg University in 1995 and earned his Masters degree in 1999 from Bloomsburg University, Pa.
Prior to dedicating his life to education, John served in the US Army. He was proud to be a business education teacher in Pa. and N.C. For the last four years. He has made North Duplin Jr./Sr. High School his home where he also coached the soccer teams.
Services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
