William E. Wright, 66, of McClure, passed away Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, at the Hershey Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 25, 1956, in Lewistown, a son of the late Perry W. and Doris L. (Sizer) Wright. He was a 1976 graduate of West Snyder High School and on April 11, 1986, he married the former Betty A. Gearhart who survives.
Bill had been employed at Hallmark, Underhill Excavating, Trans Con, and Thor Industries following which he established his own business, Bill's RV Parts & Service, which he operated along with his family until his passing.
Earlier in life he enjoyed hunting, and was always an avid fisherman who especially liked going to Canada to fish. But his greatest enjoyment came from his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 37 years are a son, Casey Wright and his companion Missy Weidensaul; three grandchildren, Austin Norman, Samantha Wright, and Everly Wright; and three sisters, Marian Griffin, Carol Wright, and Susan Wagner.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Samantha Wright in 2009 and a brother, John Wright.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, followed by the funeral at 8 p.m.
