Maxine L. Estell of Lewistown left this world on Nov. 7, 2023, following a brief illness. She was born July 9, 1959, the eldest child of Sheila and William Wilt, who both survive.
In addition to her parents, she leaves behind her brother, Bill, and his son and wife, Benjamin and Kelly, her sister and her husband, Lentha and David Barron, and their two children, Sterrett and Vanessa.
Maxine was predeceased by her husband, Bill, and her sister, Vanessa.
She was a graduate of Chief Logan High School. Earlier in life she worked as a licensed real estate agent and most recently was an enrolled agent tax preparer for Frank Berrier Accounting in Lewistown.
Maxine enjoyed beautiful things and great food. She was a collector of antiques, particularly old lamps. She was an accomplished cook with no recipe too exotic for her to try and then master. She was happiest in her kitchen, creating great meals for the people she loved.
She also leaves behind her Bichon Frise, Lady Pearl, who was her constant companion. Maxine will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. King-Barr Funeral Home LLC is in charge of arrangements.
