Nicole L. Hoffman

Nicole L. Hoffman, 41, of Kissimmee Road, Middleburg, passed into the arms of her loving Savior, Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at the Banner University Medical Center, Phoenix, Ariz., after a battle with cancer.
She was born Aug. 26, 1981, in Lewisburg, a daughter of B. Allen and Debra L. (Ettinger) Tyson, of Beaver Springs.
Nicole was a 1999 graduate of West Snyder High School and SUN Area Vocational Technical School. She was also a graduate of Central Penn College and McCann School of Business.
On June 24, 2000, she married Bruce D. Hoffman who survives.
Nicole had been employed at SUN Orthopaedics, Evangelical Community Hospital, Snyder County Children and Youth Services, Snyder County Assistance Office, PA State Police, Harrisburg and currently with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
She was a member of the Middlecreek Community Fellowship, Middleburg, and was active in Child Evangelism Fellowship.
Nicole enjoyed hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed gospel music, and making crafts and selling them as a vendor at local craft sales.
She will be remembered as the queen of yard saling.
The apple of her eye were her nephews, David and Joseph Tyson. She loved spending time with them and the rest of her family, especially at the family cabin. Her golden retrievers, or as she called them her golden nuggets, also brought her joy.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents, are a brother and sister-in-law, Shane and Jena Tyson, of Manalapan, NJ, and their sons, David and Joseph; maternal grandparents, Richard Sr. and Mary Ettinger, of McClure; aunts and uncles, Cindy Tyson, Neil and Pamela Tyson, Richard Jr. and Patricia Ettinger, Lisa and Carl Castle, and Joanie Habbershon whom she thought of as an aunt; a great uncle and aunt, Erman and Evelyn Lepley; cousins, Derek Tyson and companion Jessica and their son, Hunter, Sonja (Ricky) Lhoto and their children, Caleb and Johanna, Todd Mulaney and companion Brandy, and children Cameron and Amarah, Brant and Jennifer Mulaney and children, Kimberly, Keilly, Kandace, and Averie, Shannon (Jaime) Perez and their children, Joseph, Zachery, Andrew, and Lucus, Megan (Jed) Carr, and their children, Grayson, Madison, and Emmerson, and Kimberly (Ben) Harr, and their children, Joshua and Matthew.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Donald and Shirley Tyson; and great-aunts and uncles, Lear and Dorothy Shambach, and Tom and Adalene (Tyson) Snook.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, at the Beavertown God’s Missionary Church, 1653 Creek Road, Middleburg, followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James D. Plank and the Rev. Dr. E. Denton Mallonee officiating.
Burial will be in the Black Oak Ridge Cemetery, McClure.
