Connie Rager Wike

Connie was born July 30, 1943, in McVeytown. She was the daughter of the late Herman Rager and Helen (Sunderland) Rager.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Stephen R. Wike of Huntingdon; two children, Todd Stanford and his wife Karen of Newry, PA and Holly Massy of Mount Union; three siblings, Susan Shields, of Port Royal, Patsy McKnight, of Mifflin and Dennis Rager, of McVeytown; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Connie was a 1961 graduate of Rothrock High School and a 1965 graduate of Harrisburg Polyclinic Hospital School of Nursing in Harrisburg.

Connie retired from J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon as their utilization manager after 40 years serving in various capacities as a registered nurse. She also worked for Lewistown Hospital and Home Nursing Agency in Huntingdon.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed quilting, bird watching, cooking and flowers. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023, at Robert E. Peters Funeral Home in Huntingdon. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
