Richard B. "Pete" Arnold, 58, of Mifflintown (Arch Rock), passed away at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on June 8, 1963, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he is a son of Stephen E. Sr. and Margaret J. (Fultz) Arnold of Arch Rock. On April 16, 1988, he married his surviving wife, Joedy L. (Leach) Arnold, with whom he was blessed to share more than 34 years of marriage.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by: one son, Cody R. Arnold of Arch Rock; two brothers, Stephen E. Arnold Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Mexico and Todd A. Arnold and his wife Cheryl of Montgomery, PA; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by one niece, Hilary K. Arnold.
Mr. Arnold was a 1982 graduate of Juniata High School in Mifflintown and was employed as a Day Shift Shipping Supervisor at Empire Kosher, Inc. in Mifflintown.
Along with his wife and son, he attended the First Church of the Brethren in Lewistown.
Pete enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the Port Royal Speedway and rooting on his favorite 410 Sprint Driver, Anthony Macri, camping, being outdoors, watching NASCAR and, in earlier life, rooting on Dale Earnhardt Sr., listening to country music especially his favorite band Alabama, and being a talented woodworker who produced many pieces of furniture for his home and for family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2022, at the Burnham Church of the Brethren, 541 E. Freedom Ave., Burnham with Pastor George C. Yocum officiating. Interment will be private.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. on Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Arnold's memory can be made to the charity of one's choice.
