Ruth A. Druckenmiller Horn

Ruth A. Druckenmiller Horn, 93, of Mifflintown, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, at her home.

Born May of 1928, in Milroy, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Rose (Gilbert) Himes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: first husband, Paul Druckenmiller, May 12, 1978; second husband, Roy Horn, April 1, 1995; brothers, Sam, James, and Larry Himes; sisters, Mildred Philips and June Miller Fickes; and a grandchild.

Ruth is survived by: children, Josephine Boozel, of Apache Junction, Ariz., Robert Reichenbach, of Lewistown, James Reichenbach, of Royal Valley, Pa., and Mary Logan and husband, Joseph, of Mifflintown; stepson, Dennis Horn, of Shirleysburg; eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and siblings, Dave Himes, Denny Himes and wife, Judy, and John Himes and wife, Connie, all of Milroy, and Patricia Haines and husband, Lee Adams, of Reedsville.

She was an earlier member of Spring Run Church of the Brethren, and most recently a member of Ferguson Valley Brethren in Christ Church, McVeytown. She was a member of the McVeytown Fire Company.

She was employed at Fisher Electronics, then worked at Viscose Corporation until the 1972 flood, and retired from Huntingdon Fiberglass.

Ruth enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing trips throughout the U.S. and Canada. In her later years, her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she loved baking and cooking for her family.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Weds., Aug. 4, 2021, at Ferguson Valley Brethren in Christ Church, 8451 Ferguson Valley Road, McVeytown. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m., with Rev. Kenneth Grove officiating.

Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.

Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, Lewistown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's memory to Ferguson Valley Brethren in Christ Church, 8451 Ferguson Valley Rd., McVeytown, PA 17051.
