Madisen C. 'Madi' Smith, 17, of Burnham, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2021, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Turbett Township, Juniata County.
Born on July 1, 2004, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she is a daughter of Matthew S. and Sara M. (Schaaf) Smith of Burnham.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by: her siblings, Hannah M. Smith of Lewistown, Tysen S. Smith, and Jasen M. Smith, both of Burnham; maternal grandparents, Larry J. and Lila A. Schaaf of Lewistown; paternal grandparents, Alan K. and Shirley K. Bell of Mifflintown; maternal great-grandmother, Mary E. Heimbaugh of Knoxville, Tenn.; paternal great- grandparents, David T. and Patricia Bell of Mifflintown; two paternal uncles, Donnie Smith and his wife Michelle of Shermans Dale, and Edward Smith and his companion Tracy McCabe of Upper Chichester; and a very large extended family.
Madi was currently enrolled as a senior at Agora Cyber Charter School and was employed as a Cashier at the Burnham Giant store.
She was baptized and previously attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Lewistown.
Her interests included her love of music and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered by many for her sweet and caring demeanor.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, at the Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church Life Center, 287 Deerville Road, Mifflintown with Pastor John Walters officiating. Interment will follow in the New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at noon on Thursday at the church.
