Black History Month celebration at Bethel AME Church
LEWISTOWN -- Bethel AME Church, 23 N. Juniata St. in Lewistown, will host a Black History Month celebration on Sunday, Feb. 19 with three events. Church Service at 9:30 a.m. Gospel Documentary about the Black Church in America at 11 a.m. Light refreshments and a "Food for the Soul" meal at 2 p.m. The public is welcome. All events are free. A $5 per family donation for the meal is suggested, but no one will be turned away.
Shrove Tuesday sausage and pancake supper at Mt. Bethel
McCLURE -- Mt. Bethel Church at 16 E. Specht St. in McClure will have its Annual Shrove Tuesday Sausage/Pancake Supper on Tuesday, Feb. 21 in the social hall from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Cost is by donation. Everyone is welcome.

McALISTERVILLE -- The McAlisterville Ministerium invites you to the 2023 Lenten Worship Series "Jesus Offers You the Power of Prayer." This year ,in-person worship returns, but the service will also be streamed live on the McAlisterville Ministerium Facebook page, www.facebook.com/mcalistervillemin.

• April 2, at Delaware, where the theme is "Jesus Agonizes in the Garden" by Chad Weaver.
• April 7 at Trinity, a Good Friday Tenebrae service led by all the pastors. Offerings this year will be divided between Crossroads Pregnancy Center and Central World Kitchen. Hopefully, this worship series will help you grow in your faith and bless your relationship with God.
