UMC to host Bible study
LEWISTOWN -- First Bakers United Methodist Church will host a Bible study every Wednesday at 7 p.m. They will also host a youth group for individuals under age 18 on the first Thursday of each month, except July.

at Trinity Lutheran Church
McALISTERVILLE -- Worship every Sunday at 9 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 420 Main St. in McAlisterville. On Sunday, Feb. 5 at 9 a.m., we continue to celebrate the season of Epiphany. It is Dime Sunday and we will hear a Temple Talk and Presentation about Soles for Souls. Thank you to everyone who makes these worship services possible and to those who provide social time afterward.
New Member Sunday is Sunday, Feb. 12. Also The 2nd Annual Toilet Paper Bowl of Caring collection with Lost Creek Presbyterian Church comes to a close on the 12th. Last year we jointly collected 347,000 sheets of toilet paper for the Juniata County Food Pantry. This year we challenged ourselves to collect 360,000 sheets, roughly 2,400 single rolls, of toilet paper. The 12th is also Penny Sunday. ELCA World Hunger Valentine's Day cards and coloring pages order forms are available in the back of the sanctuary. These colorful cards can both show someone how much you care while also caring for our neighbors around the world by covering start-up costs for bee hives, fruit tree seedlings and pig farms to financially sustain families.

Soup fundraiser upcoming
LEWISTOWN -- Bethel AME church at 23 N. Juniata St. in Lewistown will host a soup fundraiser sale on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023 from 11 a.m. until sold out. Various tasty soups will be sold for $4 per pint and $7 per quart.
Winter art camp this month
MIFFLINTOWN -- There will be a winter art camp at Lost Creek Mennonite Church in Mifflintown on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Two classes for children: kids art and kids cooking. Shrove Tuesday sausage and pancake supper at Mt. Bethel

16 E. Specht St. in McClure will have its Annual Shrove Tuesday Sausage/Pancake Supper on Tuesday, Feb. 21 in the social hall from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Cost is by donation. Everyone is welcome.

GriefShare seminar
McVEYTOWN -- GriefShare is a special weekly seminar and support group designed to help you rebuild your life after the death of a loved one. GriefShare is for 13 weeks and will begin Thursday, March 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the FLC at the Pine Glen Alliance Church along Rt. 103 near McVeytown. The group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and want to help you through the difficult days ahead.
