UMC to host Bible study
LEWISTOWN -- First Bakers United Methodist Church will host a Bible study every Wednesday at 7 p.m. They will also host a youth group for individuals under age 18 on the first Thursday of each month, except July.
Fall Fest in Troxelville

Divorce care and divorce care for kids (DC4K) kicks-off
BELLEVILLE -- Divorce Care for adults and DC4K (Divorce Care for Kids) is currently running at New Life Church, 101 N. Beech Street, Burnham, PA and at Locust Grove Church at 3358 W. Main Street, Bellevile, PA.
The Divorce Care program runs in conjunction with Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K). In Burnham, parents attending Divorce Care at New Life Church are invited to enroll their children in Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K) there while families attending the Belleville group will enroll their children at Locust Grove. Registration can be done in advance by calling the phone numbers below. DC4K is a student support group for children ages five - 12 whose families are experiencing separation/divorce.
At DC4K, kids are engaged in crafts, games, activities, DVD dramas, and music. The program is scheduled to run through Dec. 12, 2022, and will feature small groups. DC (Divorce Care) for adults is a divorce support group that meets weekly for 13 weeks to help adults recover from the pain of separation and divorce. Participants experience a warm, caring environment led by people who care and want to help attendees find healing and wholeness in the midst of their circumstances. One DC participant reported: "My life was pretty much in shambles when I began DivorceCare.

50th Annual Juniata County CROP Hunger Walk
MIFFLINTOWN -- The 50th Annual Juniata County CROP Hunger Walk will be held on Sunday, Oct. 9, at Walker Township Park or Facebook Live. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. and the Walk begins at 2 p.m. The Juniata County CROP 5K Fun Run/Walk (7 laps around the park) benefits world-wide Hunger Ministries through Church World Service and, locally, the Juniata County Meals on Wheels and the Juniata County Food Pantry. Rev. Glen Bayly to speak at First Baptist in Mifflintown
MIFFLINTOWN -- Rev. Glen Bayly will be the featured speaker at First Baptist Church in Mifflintown on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Rev. Bayly is ordained with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. He served as the Sr. Pastor in VA, VT, and PA for 38 years. Since retirement from full-time pastoral ministry, he has served in a number of capacities and is host of the nationwide syndicated radio program, 'The Lions' Den University Report' (thelionsdenuniversityreport.org). Hearbeat Community Services Inc. annual fall banquet
LOYSVILLE -- Heartbeat Community Services, Inc., invites you to their annual fall banquet at the Church of the Living Christ, 2401 Fort Robinson Rd. in Loysville, on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022 at 6 p.m. Hors d'oeuvres beginning at 5:30 p.m. Keynote Speaker will be Allison Bragg, who along with her husband, lost their only daughter at six months old. Homecoming celebration at Watts Memorial church

Creation Conference at First Baptist Church of Mifflintown
MIFFLINTOWN -- A Creation Conference will be held at First Baptist Church of Mifflintown. Featured speaker will be Mike Snavely. Snavely was raised in South Africa and is president and founder of Mission Imperative – 1995. He leads tour groups to the Grand Canyon and the African Wildlife Safari. Gator Wilderness Camp School awareness dinner scheduled
BELLEVILLE -- Gator Wilderness Camp School announces its Annual Gator Camp Awareness Dinner to be held at Locust Grove Mennonite Church on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at 6:30 P.M.. Gator
Wilderness Camp School is a not-for-profit school for boys, ages 10 years-16 years in southwest Florida.
At Gator Wilderness Camp School, boys focus on building relationships, problem solving, and learning
