LEWISTOWN -- Sacred Heart Parish held its inaugural Sacred Heart Fest at the church Saturday, June 25.
Fr. Peter Rettig, who organized the event, said it was dedicated to Jesus Christ and thanking Him for His most Sacred Heart which loves us all unconditionally and has bestowed so many blessings upon us, especially this past year.
At the event, there was an outdoor prayer procession which is basically a prayer walk. Sacred Heart members held a prayer walk from the Sacred Heart Parish and around the block between Third and Brown street ultimately, ending back at the church.
After the prayer walk, attendees enjoyed a pig roast and gave thanks to the Lord.
