Coffee house to feature music
LEWISTOWN -- Ellen Chapel Church will host a coffee house beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday. Free concerts will be provided by Sam Marasco and Vya Rosco-gospel (a father and daughter duo) who will perform gospel, bluegrass, country, and original songs.
After an intermission to enjoy a cup of coffee or iced tea and a light snack, Doug Irwin and Brian Homan will provide a variety of older songs for your enjoyment.
Admission is free but donations are accepted.
Ministry to support single moms
BELLEVILLE -- The Mifflin County Single Moms Care and Support Group will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. the second and fourth Fridays at New Life Church Cafe, 101 Beech St., Burnham from Sept. 10, 2021 to May 27, 2022.
Dinner is served from 6:30 to 7 p.m. for mothers and children. Child care runs from 7 to 8 p.m. while mothers meet in a group. For more information, call or text Ann at (717) 437-4946.
Stony Run to host events
McALISTERVILLE -- Stony Run Mission Church, 2825 Evendale Hill Road, McAlisterville, will offer:

UMC to host Bible study
LEWISTOWN -- First Bakers United Methodist Church will host a Bible study every Wednesday at 7 p.m. They will also host a youth group for individuals under age 18 on the first Thursday of each month, except July.
Milroy UMC to host Bible study
MILROY --Milroy United Methodist Church, 91 S. Main St., will host a Bible study on Monday nights beginning March 7. 'The Twelve Disciples" is a six-week study about the men who were closest to Jesus.
Schrader to host speakers
REEDSVILLE -- Schrader United Methodist Church will host the following speakers during its 8:30 a.m. services:

Upcoming concert to fund repairs
LEWISTOWN -- St. John's Lutheran Church, 120 N. Main St., will host a benefit concert to replace sections of the church's roof. The concert will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16. There will be instrumental and vocal selections.
UMC to host
scavenger hunt
McVEYTOWN -- An Easter scavenger hunt will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at McVeytown United Methodist Church. Participants will begin on an Easter journey at the church where they receive a first clue, and will then travel to six different stations throughout McVeytown to learn the full Easter story. Participants will return to the church to tell the Easter Bunny the true story of Easter. There will be prizes and candy along the way with an opportunity for pictures with the Easter Bunny at the end.
Ukraine donations accepted
BELLEVILLE -- Sharp Shopper will continue to accept donations for soldiers and citizens of Ukraine through Monday, April 18. Items are donated through Mission Central Warehouse in in Mechanicsburg. Some acceptable donations include first aid supplies, personal hygiene products, and ready to eat food items.
Kish Valley to host concert
REEDSVILLE -- Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church will host a free concert from 5 to 7 p.m. April 30 with Joe Bonson and Coffee Run.
Church to hold movie night
MIFFLINTOWN -- First Baptist Church will hold a free family movie/meal night at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 1 in the family ministry center. The church is loccated on state Route 35, one mile north of Mifflintown. The meal begins at 5 p.m. and includes: tacos, baked beans, applesauce, bake and a beverage.
The movie, "God's Not Dead: We The People" will follow the meal. Dress casual & bring a lawn chair, if you desire.
Gospel quartet to perform at Messiah
MIFFLINTOWN -- Messiah Lutheran Church will host Grace Gospel Quartet during worship service on Sunday, May 22.
Paintersville to offer spring rally
LEWISTOWN -- Paintersville Christian and Missionary Alliance will hold a Spring Rally April 24-27. The The speaker will be Sanford Good, founder of Live 10:27 Ministries. Mercy Run will be providing music for the Sunday services only on April 24.
Sunday morning service will be 10:15 a.m. to noon. Evening services will be 7 to 8 p.m.
