Ministry to support single moms
BELLEVILLE -- The Mifflin County Single Moms Care and Support Group will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. the second and fourth Fridays at New Life Church Cafe, 101 Beech St., Burnham from Sept. 10, 2021 to May 27, 2022.
Dinner is served from 6:30 to 7 p.m. for mothers and children. Child care runs from 7 to 8 p.m. while mothers meet in a group. For more information, call or text Ann at (717) 437-4946.
Stony Run to host events
McALISTERVILLE -- Stony Run Mission Church, 2825 Evendale Hill Road, McAlisterville, will offer the following programs:
¯March 27 -- Mercy Run will perform at 6 p.m.
¯April 3 -- Danny Stouffer will share at 6 p.m.
¯April 15 -- Good Friday candlelight communion service at 7 p.m.
¯April 17 -- Sonrise service at 7 a.m. with Jim Bob Neimond sharing. Worship service at 9:15 a.m. with Pastor Nick Smith. No evening service.
¯April 24 -- The Fuller Family will perform at 6 p.m.

UMC to host Bible study
LEWISTOWN -- First Bakers United Methodist Church will host a Bible study every Wednesday at 7 p.m. They will also host a youth group for individuals under age 18 on the first Thursday of each month, except July.
Revival services offered
BEAVERTOWN --Beavertown God's Missionary Church will hold revival services March 22-27. The Rev. Kenny Stetler will preach and the Tim Cole family will be bringing special music. Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Services will be live-streamed at www.beavertownchurch.com as well as on Facebook and YouTube. Church to hold conference
REEDSVILLE -- The Big Valley Bible Church, 139 West Railroad St, will be having a prophecy conference from April 8-10. The guest speaker is Bruce Scott. He is with Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry. He will be speaking at seven sessions and then leading a Passover banquet.
On Friday, April 8, session 1, Prophetic Panorama – Gentile Nations will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Session 2, Prophetic Panorama – Israel will be held from 7:45 to 9 p.m.
On Saturday, April 9, session 3, The Rapture, will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Session 4, The Tribulation, part 1 will be held from 10:45 a.m. to noon. Lunch will be provided by the church for all who attend. Session 5, The Tribulation, part 2 will be held from 1-2 p.m. Session 6, The Kingdom, will be held frrom 2:15-3:30 p.m.
A morning worship service and Session 7, The Eternal State, will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 10.
The conference will conclude on Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m. with a Passover banquet provided by the church. Reservations are required to attend the banquet. Seating is limited. Call (717) 667-3123 by Saturday, April 2 to make reservations.
Milroy UMC to host Bible study
MILROY --Milroy United Methodist Church, 91 S. Main St., will host a Bible study on Monday nights beginning March 7. 'The Twelve Disciples" is a six-week study about the men who were closest to Jesus.
Assembly to host speaker
LEWISTOWN -- Lewistown Assembly of God Church will host a special service at 6:30 p.m. April 3. Pastor Mike Bailey will share a special message from God's Word.
Church Hill offers egg decorating
REEDSVILLE -- Church Hill United Methodist Church, 199 Woodland Circle, Reedsville, will host a kid's Easter event at 6:30 p.m. April 8. There will be games, egg decorating, candy and more.
Reedsville UMC to host 'Only God Can'
REEDSVILLE -- Reedsville United Methodist Church, 60 East Logan Street, will host a free movie night at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, April 10. Refreshments will be served.
The movie shown, "Only God Can," is a powerful thought-provoking film highlighting the realization that "All things are possible with God" and with faith we can overcome anything. The movie explores the lifetime bond of five friends struggling through life's challenges that become more difficult with each passing year. It brings to light the relationships the women have with each other and the relationship they lack with God. The movie depicts real-life situations that many of us can identify with and the women are relatable.
UMC to host Holy week services
REEDSVILLE -- Maundy Thursday worship with communion will be held at 7 p.m. April 14 at Reedsville United Methodist Church, 60 E Logan Street Reedsville.
A Good Friday service will be held at 7 p.m. April 15 at Church Hill United Methodist Church,199 Woodland Circle Reedsville.
On Easter morning, a sunrise service will be held at Church Hill Cemetery at 6:30 a.m. April 17. If there is bad rain, it will be held at Church Hill UMC, 199 Woodland Circle.
Sunrise services will also be held at Reedsville United Methodist Church at 9 a.m., Church Hill United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. and Milroy United Methodist Church at 11:15 a.m.
UMC to host
scavenger hunt
McVEYTOWN -- An Easter scavenger hunt will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at McVeytown United Methodist Church. Participants will begin on an Easter journey at the church where they receive a first clue, and will then travel to six different stations throughout McVeytown to learn the full Easter story. Participants will return to the church to tell the Easter Bunny the true story of Easter. There will be prizes and candy along the way with an opportunity for pictures with the Easter Bunny at the end.
First Baptist features Easter services
MIFFLINTOWN --First Baptist Church of Juniata County, state Route 35, one mile north of Mifflintown, will offer the following Easter Sunday services on April 17:
¯7 a.m. -- Sunrise service
¯8 a.m. - Free breakfast in the FMC
¯9:30 a.m. - Special Easter service cantata: Salvation's Story - The work that was started at Christmas was finished at Easter: His cross, His blood, the grave - His sacrifice of love. His resurrection day has made a way for us.
There will be no 8 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. morning services, Sunday School or evening service on Easter Sunday.
