Ministry to support single moms

BELLEVILLE — The Mifflin County Single Moms Care and Support Group will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. the second and fourth Fridays at New Life Church Cafe, 101 Beech St., Burnham from Sept. 10, 2021 to May 27, 2022.

Dinner is served from 6:30 to 7 p.m. for mothers and children. Child care runs from 7 to 8 p.m. while mothers meet in a group. For more information, call or text Ann at (717) 437-4946.

Support available for grieving

McVEYTOWN — GriefShare is a special weekly seminar and support group designed to help you rebuild your life after losing a loved one. GriefShare is for 13 weeks and will begin Thursday, March 10th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pine Glen Alliance Church along state Route 103 near McVeytown. The group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and want to help you through the difficult days ahead. Nativity scenes on display at church

MIFFLINTOWN — A display of about 1,000 nativity sets, ornaments and assorted objects is at the Free Spring Church of the Brethren, 570 Free Spring Church Road, Mifflintown. They may be seen from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 22 and 29 and other times by appointment. Call (717) 320-4967. The display is child friendly, handicapped accessible, and suitable for field trips for groups. Entrance is in the back on the lower level.

UMC to host

weekly Bible study

LEWISTOWN — First Bakers United Methodist Church will host a Bible study ever Wednesday at 7 p.m. They will also host a youth group for individuals under age 18 on the first Thursday of each month, except July.
