Date set for annual banquet

By Anita Keagy 2 min read

MIFFLINTOWN -- Heartbeat Community Services will hold its annual fall banquet at the Mifflintown FMC building, located behind the First Baptist Church.

The event will be held Oct. 30 and will begin with hors d'oeuvres at 5:30 p.m. The event begins at 6 p.m.

The keynote speaker will be Anita Keagy, author of the book "The File: A Mother and Child's Life-Changing Reunion" and DVD series, "Seeking God First."

Keagy attended Messiah College and received training from Kay Arthur and Anne Graham Lotz. Keagy has traveled nationwide and internationally, sharing her message of seeking God first each day, as the key to abundant life and joy.

She candidly shares about her scandalous teenage pregnancy as a preacher's daughter and the difficult choice to place her daughter for adoption. God used Anita's own desire to know her child to impress upon her how much he wants to know His children--us.

With that knowledge, a ministry was born that is now thriving and impacting lives every day. Her book and DVD series can be purchased on her website www.joyshop.org. Keagy lives in Washington Borough, Pennsylvania with her husband Paul. She is the mother of five adult children and eleven grandchildren.

Cost to attend is $20. Make checks payable to Heartbeat Community Services and mail them to P.O. Box 25, Millerstown, PA 17062 by Oct. 24. Teenagers are free, but must be registered.

The First Baptist Church of Juniata County is located at 23964 Route 35 N. Mifflintown, Pa. 17059.
