Creation Festival postponed to next year

MOUNT UNION — Creation 2021 has been rescheduled to June of 2022, according to a press release from the festival’s organizers.

The festival, normally held at the Agape Farm near Mount Union, has been rescheduled for June 29 to July 2, 2022. Tickets that have already been purchased will be honored for the newly scheduled dates.

The decision came after many hours of deliberation with industry experts and thoughtful consideration, according to the news release, dated March 24.

“We are saddened to share that Creation 2021 will be postponed and rescheduled to June of 2022. We know that our Creation family had hoped as we have, that the festival could safely return this summer. We believe that safety is paramount and while we are encouraged to see the vaccines becoming more widely distributed and numbers declining, we still face several challenges that prevent us from bringing our fans the Creation Festival experience that they come to expect.”

One challenge, the press release states, is the uncertainty of meeting health guidelines during the multi-day camping event.

To serve Creation fans and reunite in some way, planning is underway for a smaller, safer, in-person or online experience, the press release states.

This would include a Creation Concert Experience this August along with other concerts planned through the fall.

Also, each month, Creation will host an online event by an artist or speaker.

All Creation 2020 or 2021 tickets holders will receive: Exclusive artist barbecue Experience at Creation 2022; half price Buddy Pass for Creation 2022; a free ticket to one of the August concerts.
