STATE COLLEGE -- State College cover band Porch Party will take the stage Sunday, Aug. 23, as South Hills School of Business & Technology continues its 2026 Music Picnic Series.
The free outdoor concert begins at 6 p.m. on the north lawn of South Hills' main campus, 480 Waupelani Drive, State College. It is the 11th event in this year's series.
Porch Party performs a mix of folk, blues, country, mellow rock and other genres. The band is known for its harmonies and original arrangements of cover songs.
Band members are Liz Lasher, Mickey Tomasetti, Tom Mallouk, Michelle Katz and Randy Doughty.
The grounds will open at 4 p.m., with music scheduled from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. The event will be held rain or shine.
Dogs on the Run hot dog cart will be on site offering hot dogs and snacks. Free parking and restrooms are available.
