STATE COLLEGE -- A veterans appreciation luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at the State College YMCA, 677 Whitehall Road.
The free event will recognize Centre County veterans ahead of Veterans Day. Veterans and their guests will receive a complimentary lunch provided by Texas Roadhouse.
Samantha Cossman, regional program outreach coordinator for the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, will serve as guest speaker. Representatives from the Veterans Multi-Service Center and United Disabilities Services will be available to provide information about veterans’ programs, benefits and services.
The event will also feature door prizes donated by local businesses.
