LEWISTOWN -- The Mifflin County School District Board of Directors approved multiple paid and volunteer athletics positions at a special voting meeting on Thursday night.
In an 8-1 roll call vote, directors approved Jonathan T. Baker as a volunteer softball coach for the Spring 2027 season, effective on Nov. 6; director Mark Baker abstained.
Directors unanimously approved the following paid athletics personnel, effective Nov. 6:
•John Pannizzo as an assistant junior varsity baseball coach at a salary of $2,800 for the spring 2027 season;
•Haley A. Schwenzer as an assistant varsity cheerleading coach at a salary of $1,680 for the winter 2026 season;
•Cate L. Williams as an assistant junior high girls wrestling coach at a salary of $1,680 for the winter 2026-27 season;
•Patyn R. Crisswell as an assistant junior varsity softball coach at a salary of $2,352 for the spring 2027 season;
•Kadyn A. Crisswell as head junior varsity softball coach at a salary of $2,912 for the spring 2027 season;
•Matthew R. Maxwell as an assistant varsity softball coach at a salary of $2,240 for the spring 2027 season;
•James H. McCarter as an assistant boys’ lacrosse coach at a salary of $2,464 for the spring 2027 season.
Volunteer Athletics
Directors also approved volunteer athletics personnel, effective Nov. 6:
•Michael W. Ammon as a baseball coach for the spring 2027 season;
•Caden D. Bell as a track coach for the winter 2026-27 season;
•Caden D. Bell as an outdoor track and field coach for the spring 2027 season;
•Matthew J. Debenedetto as an indoor track coach for the winter 2026-27 season and as an outdoor track and field coach for the spring 2027 season;
•Bryce F. Dobson as a baseball coach for the spring 2027 season;
•Glen E. Franklin Jr. as a boys’ basketball coach for the winter 2026-27 season;
•Aaron L. Gingrich as a boys’ basketball coach for the winter 2026-27 season;
•Daniel M. Kochenderfer as a baseball coach for the spring 2027 season;
•Donald L. Lepley as a boys’ basketball coach for the winter 2026-27 season;
•Jack E. Packer as a boys’ basketball coach for the winter 2026-27 season;
•David H. Sheetz as a boys’ basketball coach for the winter 2026-27 season;
•Trey D. Shoemaker as a boys’ wrestling coach for the winter 2026-27 season;
•Andrea D. Glover as a girls’ wrestling coach for the winter 2026-27 season;
•Todd R. Peters as a boys’ soccer coach for the spring 2027 season;
•Kyler T. Everly as a boys’ lacrosse coach for the spring 2027 season;

The board will meet next at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Administration Building, 201 Eighth St., Highland Park, Lewistown.
