Lewistown teen charged with DUI
DERRY TOWNSHIP -- A 16-year-old Lewistown male faces charges after a traffic stop on Electric Avenue at 8:34 p.m. Sept. 26, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said troopers stopped a 1995 Chevrolet C/K 1500 and determined the driver was under the influence of a controlled substance.
Charges were filed through Mifflin County Juvenile Probation.
Police investigate Mifflintown hit-and-run
MIFFLINTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating a hit-and-run crash that damaged a residential utility line Oct. 19 in Mifflintown Borough.
Police said an unidentified driver was traveling west on Cedar Street near Cross Street at approximately 1:29 p.m. when the vehicle struck a low-hanging utility line.
The impact caused the line to separate from its attachment to a residence at 35 Cedar St., damaging the exterior of the home.
The driver continued west without stopping. No injuries were reported.
