Woman charged with dog law violation
PORT ROYAL -- A 32-year-old Port Royal woman was charged following a reported dog law violation in Beale Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said troopers were dispatched to Vine Street at about 2:30 p.m. Sept. 20 for the reported violation. A 19-year-old Port Royal man was listed as the victim.
Police said charges were filed against the woman.
Police investigate theft of investment funds
McVEYTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating the reported theft of more than $6,000 from an investment account.
Police said the incident occurred between 1:36 a.m. and 12:31 p.m. Aug. 26 on Ferguson Valley Road in Oliver Township.
According to police, $6,184 worth of Fidelity investment account shares belonging to a 39-year-old McVeytown man were reported stolen.
The investigation is ongoing.
