STATE COLLEGE -- Pennsylvania State Police are advising the public that temporary flight restrictions and enhanced aviation security measures will be in place for Saturday's Penn State-USC football game at Beaver Stadium.
The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10.
A temporary flight restriction will take effect at 6:30 p.m. and remain in place until one hour after the game concludes. The restricted airspace will extend 3 nautical miles around Beaver Stadium and up to 3,000 feet above ground level.
Unauthorized drone flights will be prohibited within the restricted area. State police, working with federal, state and local public safety agencies, will conduct counter-drone operations during the event.
Police said unauthorized drone activity could result in criminal prosecution or civil penalties.
Drone operators are urged to review Federal Aviation Administration restrictions before flying. Anyone observing suspicious or unauthorized drone activity near the stadium should immediately notify law enforcement.
