ALTOONA -- The James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center will host its 2026 Virtual Mental Health Summit, "The Voice of the Veteran," from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 10.
The virtual event is open to veterans, caregivers, clinicians and community members and will focus on veterans' perspectives on mental health and wellness.
Sessions will cover suicide prevention, VA eligibility and benefits, transitioning from military to civilian life, military culture, recovery stories and other topics. A Veterans Mental Health Council roundtable and panel also will be held.
