ALTOONA -- The James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center will host its third annual VetFest Enrollment Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona.
VA enrollment specialists and veteran service officers will be available to help veterans enroll in VA health care and file service-connected disability claims. Veterans interested in enrolling should bring a copy of their DD214, financial information from last year and insurance information.
The free event will also feature a Blair Antique Car Club cruise-in, food trucks and live entertainment. Veterans and their families are invited to contribute letters, newspaper articles, service-related items or memories to a VA time capsule that will be opened in 25 years.
VetFest is open to veterans, their families and the public. Attendees should park in the upper lots or parking garage off Fairway Drive. Shuttles will be available for those unable to walk long distances.
