LEWISTOWN -- The Mifflin County Regional Police Department responded to 519 incident reports during August, including 29 motor vehicle crashes, according to the department's monthly statistics.
Officers investigated 21 theft or fraud incidents and one assault during the month. Police also issued 80 traffic citations, five non-traffic citations and 38 warnings.
Six arrests for driving under the influence were made during August.
The Mifflin County Regional Police Department serves Burnham Borough and Brown, Derry and Union townships.
