ALTOONA -- The Prayer Breakfast of the Alleghenies will be Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026 from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Blair County Convention Center, 1 Convention Center Dr., Altoona.
The breakfast brings together business leaders, government officials, pastors, community leaders, and others from throughout the Alleghenies for a morning of prayer, worship and encouragement.
This year’s keynote speaker is Vince Smith, executive director of the Keystone Family Alliance, a Pennsylvania organization working to mobilize churches and Christians to care for children and families impacted by foster care and adoption.
Following the breakfast, Smith will lead a two-hour workshop on mobilizing the church to serve children and families impacted by foster care at Altoona Alliance Church, 3220 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona.
The workshop will provide an opportunity for pastors, church leaders, foster and adoptive families and anyone interested in helping their church respond to the foster care crisis to learn practical ways to become involved.
Individuals may attend the prayer breakfast for $30 per person. The workshop is free, and no registration is required. Registration and sponsorship information is available through the Leaders of Faith website.
