Two report possible injuries in Fayette Township crash
McALISTERVILLE -- Two people sustained possible injuries in a one-vehicle crash early Sunday in Fayette Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said Enola B. Kress, 22, of Lewistown, was traveling on Main Street near its intersection with Westfall Street at about 5:14 a.m. when her 2008 Honda Fit drifted from its lane and struck a curb. The impact caused the vehicle to travel into the opposite lane before coming to a final stop.
Kress and a passenger, Novaleigh B. Hubler, 22, of Burnham, were wearing seat belts and sustained possible injuries but were not transported for medical treatment, according to the report.
Police indicated Kress was cited for a lane violation. Fayette Fire, EMS and Gray's Towing assisted at the scene.
Three-vehicle crash reported on Route 35
McALISTERVILLE -- No injuries were reported in a three-vehicle crash Sept. 14 on Route 35 in Fayette Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said Brandon R. Rowles, 33, of McAlisterville, was stopped on Route 35 while preparing to turn left, with Mildred R. Colyer, 78, of Lewistown, stopped behind him. A vehicle driven by Kenton L. Hoover, 18, of Port Trevorton, struck Colyer's vehicle from behind, pushing it into Rowles' vehicle.
Hoover's 2022 GMC Sierra then left the right side of the roadway. All three drivers were wearing seat belts and were not injured.
Police indicated Hoover was cited for following too closely.
No injuries reported in Route 75 crash
EAST WATERFORD -- Four people, including two children, escaped injury in a two-vehicle crash Sept. 23 on Route 75 in Tuscarora Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said Taylor N. Beaston, 27, of East Waterford, was traveling south on Route 75 north of Clark Lane at about 8:02 p.m. when a dog ran into the roadway. Beaston applied the brakes and swerved to the left.
A 2018 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Dylan E. Beaston, 30, of East Waterford, was traveling behind her and struck the rear driver’s side of Beaston’s 2016 Ford Escape. The Chevrolet then traveled into the northbound lane and overturned onto its driver’s side.
Both drivers and two passengers, ages 3 and 7, were wearing appropriate restraints and were not injured, according to the report.
Police indicated Dylan Beaston was cited for following too closely.
Police investigate Route 103 hit-and-run
McVEYTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a U.S. Postal Service truck Sept. 4 on Route 103 in Bratton Township.
Police said a USPS truck driven by Evan M. Smith, 24, of Lewistown, was traveling south on Route 103 at about 11:16 a.m. and was preparing to turn left onto Pine Glenn Road.
An unidentified vehicle traveling behind the mail truck attempted to pass as Smith began turning left, striking the truck before fleeing the scene, police said.
Smith was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
Teen escapes injury in Monroe Township crash
RICHFIELD -- A 17-year-old Liverpool driver escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash Sept. 22 on Aucker Road in Monroe Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said the teen was traveling north near 150 Aucker Road at about 8:08 a.m. when his 2008 Toyota Corolla left the roadway while negotiating a right-hand curve and struck a utility pole.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The driver was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
Police indicated the teen was cited for a lane violation. Richfield Fire, Richfield EMS and Mount Pleasant Auto Wrecker’s Towing assisted at the scene.
