MIFFLINTOWN -- A Middleburg man is facing charges after Pennsylvania State Police allege he inappropriately touched a 13-year-old while attending a movie at the Midway Drive-In Theatre in Fermanagh Township in May 2025.
Dylan Eugene Hoover, 34, of Middleburg, is charged with offenses including felony corruption of minors and misdemeanor indecent assault of a person less than 16 years old, according to court records.
The charges stem from an alleged incident May 24, 2025, at the Midway Drive-In Theatre along William Penn Highway.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, police received a Child Welfare Report to Law Enforcement on April 29, 2026, regarding the alleged incident. The report indicated the girl had previously disclosed the allegations to an older sibling, who made a ChildLine report.
Police interviewed the victim May 1 in the presence of her mother. She told investigators she had gone to the drive-in with a friend and the friend's family and was sitting beside Hoover in the back of a vehicle while watching a movie.
The girl alleged Hoover had his left arm around her shoulder before moving his hand down her body and touching her inappropriately, including under her clothing, according to the affidavit. Police said she was 13 at the time of the alleged incident.
State police interviewed Hoover on July 1. According to police, Hoover initially denied touching the girl inappropriately.
During further questioning, police allege Hoover acknowledged touching the girl outside her clothing, characterizing it as a mistake. Hoover denied putting his hand inside the girl's pants, contrary to her account, according to the affidavit.
The criminal complaint was filed July 7, 2026, and the charges were waived to Juniata County Court of Common Pleas on July 29.
Hoover's bail was set at $150,000 unsecured. Court records show he waived his scheduled arraignment Sept. 8 and is scheduled for a criminal list review Nov. 10 before President Judge Kenneth A. Mummah.
Hoover is represented by attorney Austin Thomas Nolen.
