LEWISTOWN -- Geisinger will honor local military veterans with free appreciation dinners Nov. 5, including drive-through events in Lewistown and Mifflintown.
The dinners will be offered from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital, 400 Highland Ave., with pickup at the third-floor hospital entrance, and Geisinger Mifflintown, 27 CJEMS Lane.
Veterans may reserve a dinner for themselves and one guest. Servings are limited, and registration is required by Friday, Oct. 30.

Geisinger Healthplex State College, 132 Abigail Lane, Port Matilda, will also host a dinner, with that location serving veterans from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
The dinners are part of a health system-wide effort to thank area military veterans for their service. Drive-through events will be held at 12 locations across Geisinger's service area.
Other locations, all serving from 3 to 5:30 p.m., include:

• Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital, 4200 Hospital Road, Coal Township;

• Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital, 1020 Thompson St.;
• Geisinger Mount Pocono, 126 Market Way;
• Geisinger Medical Center Muncy, 255 Route 220;
• Geisinger Healthplex CenterPoint, 1201 Oak St., Pittston;
• Nay Aug Park, 500 Arthur Ave., Scranton; and
• Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre, 50 Roosevelt Terrace, behind the hospital
