Writers’ group to host poet, author

STATE COLLEGE -- Poet and author Marjorie Maddox Hafer will speak at the Nittany Valley Writers' Network meeting Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the Schlow Library Community Room, 211 S. Allen St., State College.
Doors open at 6 p.m., with the meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. Hafer will present "Poems, Prose & Prompts: A Reading with Ideas for Your Writing," featuring readings and writing prompts for participants.
Hafer hosts "Poetry Moment" for WPSU-FM and is a professor emerita of English and creative writing at Commonwealth University. She is the author of 17 poetry collections, five children's books, two anthologies and a biography.
