REEDSVILLE -- A Lewistown woman escaped injury after her vehicle struck a deer Saturday morning on U.S. 522 North, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said Elishia D. Brown, 36, was traveling north in a 2019 Jeep Compass at about 9:59 a.m. when a deer entered the roadway near 5360 U.S. Highway 522 North. Brown was unable to avoid the deer and struck it in the travel lane.
The Jeep sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Brown, who police said was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.

State police investigate harassment report
DECATUR TOWNSHIP -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating a reported harassment incident in Decatur Township.
Police said the incident was reported at 3:04 p.m. Friday along U.S. 522 North. The victim was identified by police as a 30-year-old McClure woman.
No additional details about the alleged harassment were released.
Two-vehicle crash reported in I-80 work zone
BELLEFONTE -- No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in a construction zone on Interstate 80 in Centre County, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Rockview.
Police said a 2019 Toyota Highlander was entering eastbound I-80 from South Eagle Valley Road shortly before 3:45 p.m. when it stopped in traffic in a one-lane construction zone near mile marker 157.4.
A 2026 Freightliner Cascadia then struck the Toyota on the driver's side with the passenger side of the truck, police said.
Both drivers were uninjured. Police cited the driver of the Toyota for entering or crossing a roadway.
