Alleged juvenile assault on Chestnut Street leads to arrest
LEWISTOWN -- Lewistown Police Department officers responded to Chestnut Street in Lewistown for a domestic dispute and found a teen with severe facial injuries after being allegedly assaulted by Frank W. Weber, 30, of Steelton, Pa., at 8:50 p.m. on Aug. 20, according to a release issued on Thursday. Weber was later located hiding in a closet and arrested on warrants for endangering the welfare of children and simple assault.
Man arrested on drug paraphernalia warrant
LEWISTOWN -- Brandon T. Hess, 28, of Lewistown, was taken into custody on East Third Street in Lewistown for a Huntingdon County warrant at 9:02 a.m. on Aug. 21, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. Officers found a large glass marijuana smoking device next to him. He was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown.
Alleged domestic assault results in two arrests
LEWISTOWN -- A pair of Lewistown residents were arrested by Lewistown Police Department officers after an alleged domestic assault at 1:16 p.m. on Aug. 21, according to a release issued on Thursday. Angela C. Di Pietro, 51, was arrested after biting Robert Ramsey, 72, police said. Later, jail staff observed bruising on Di Pietro, leading officers to arrest Ramsey the next day. Both required medical clearance before being lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown.
Teen driver crashes into home after losing control
LEWISTOWN -- An unidentified 19-year-old female driver relying on GPS lost control at a high rate of speed and crashed into a South Main Street residence in Lewistown at 3:52 p.m. on Aug. 23, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. The crash caused major structural damage. Witnesses reported she had been traveling near 90 MPH. She was cited for multiple traffic offenses.
Intoxicated man cited after allegedly touching pedestrians
LEWISTOWN -- Lewistown Police Department officers cited Larry J. Anderson, 45, of Lewistown, for public drunkenness after he touched two pedestrians near Memorial Square in Downtown Lewistown and made inappropriate comments at 4:39 p.m. on Aug. 23, according to a release issued on Thursday. He was released to a sober person, police said.
Woman assaulted over several hours; suspect wanted
LEWISTOWN -- Video evidence showed Damian M. Kuykendall, 36, of unknown address, repeatedly assaulting a female, including kicking her, choking her and threatening to shoot her at 10:06 p.m. on Aug. 23, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. He fled before officers arrived. A warrant was issued, but he has not surrendered.
Juvenile arrested after allegedly fleeing in stolen vehicle
LEWISTOWN -- Lewistown Police Department officers received a tip from the Mifflin County Regional Police Department that a stolen vehicle was located leaving a convenience store in Lewistown at 10:08 p.m. on Aug. 23, according to a release issued on Thursday. The juvenile driver fled police before being boxed in on Route 103. A Drug Recognition Expert determined the juvenile was impaired by cannabis, police said.
Man cited for threatening to shoot dogs
LEWISTOWN -- Blayden Z. Hubler, no age or address reported, was cited for disorderly conduct after threatening to shoot a resident's dogs on South Wayne Street in Lewistown at 3:28 p.m. on Aug. 24, according to a release by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday.
Lewistown woman arrested after scratching man's neck
LEWISTOWN -- Nakisha K. Wilson, 38, of Lewistown, allegedly scratched a male's neck during an argument and yelled at an elderly witness at 4:58 p.m. on Aug. 24, according to a release issued on Thursday. She was arrested for simple assault and required medical clearance before being lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown.
New juvenile driver crashes in foggy conditions
LEWISTOWN -- An unidentified juvenile with one week of driving experience struck an oncoming vehicle after taking a wide turn in foggy conditions at Spring Street and Banks Avenue in Lewistown at 6:15 a.m. on Aug. 26, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. No injuries were reported.
Area man on e-bike arrested after attempting to flee
LEWISTOWN -- Jason S. Gordon, 49, of unknown address, fled Lewistown Police Department officers on an e-bike before being stopped at 12:48 p.m. on Aug. 26, according to a release issued on Thursday. He attempted to discard contraband and was found with methamphetamine residue and a meth pipe. He was also lodged on a warrant.
Probation absconder found with meth
LEWISTOWN -- Joseph L. Leach, 43, of unknown address, was arrested at a convenience store on a probation warrant at 1:48 p.m. on Aug. 26, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. Officers found syringes loaded with methamphetamine and a vial of marijuana. Charges were filed.
Forgery suspect identified after cashing stolen checks
LEWISTOWN -- Jessica L. Michelli, 46, of State College, was identified as the suspect who cashed stolen checks totaling about $2,900 at multiple Kish Bank locations at 3:05 p.m. on Aug. 26, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. She was arrested in Centre County and will face forgery and receiving stolen property charges.
