Driver cited after Route 35 tractor crash
MIFFLINTOWN -- No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash involving a car and tractor on Route 35 in Monroe Township at 8:06 a.m. Aug. 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said Anderson Montiel Rodriguez, 32, of Mifflintown, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze north near Planning Mill Road and attempted to pass a 2020 Massey-Ferguson tractor in a no-passing zone.
The tractor, driven by Glendon E. Hertzler, 30, of Richfield, was making a left turn when the Cruze struck it. The car sustained disabling damage and was towed, while the tractor sustained minor damage. Neither driver was injured.
Montiel Rodriguez was cited for careless driving.
Police investigate identity theft
BELLEVILLE -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown investigated a reported identity theft involving a 36-year-old Belleville man.
Police said the incident was reported at 11:57 a.m. Aug. 20 on Stonewood Drive in Menno Township. Police said there are no leads in the investigation.
Woman cited following domestic incident
MIFFLINTOWN -- A 33-year-old Mifflintown woman was cited with harassment following a domestic incident Aug. 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police were dispatched at 10:52 a.m. to South Main Street in Mifflintown for a welfare check. Police said the incident was determined to be a domestic involving a 15-year-old Mifflintown girl.
Charges filed following domestic incident
BEAVER SPRINGS -- Charges were filed against two people following a reported domestic incident Aug. 20 in Spring Township, Snyder County, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove.
Police responded at 1:24 p.m. to Center Avenue and identified those involved as an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, both of Beaver Springs.
Police said appropriate charges were filed through District Court 17-3-04.
