Police said Aleah A. White, 26, was traveling too fast for conditions when she failed to negotiate a right curve on the off-ramp at about 8:29 a.m. The 2010 Nissan Maxima struck a curb, traveled over it and entered a traffic island before coming to rest.

White and passenger Dannell D. Johnson-White, 31, both reported minor injuries and were transported by Penns Valley EMS for evaluation.

Police said Johnson-White was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. White told police she was wearing one, although police said the belt appeared to be locked in a partially extended position.

White was cited for failure to yield at a yield sign. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
