Tractor-trailer overturns, spills grain on U.S. 322
FERMANAGH TOWNSHIP -- A tractor-trailer overturned after leaving the roadway on U.S. 322 in Juniata County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Police said the crash occurred at 11:51 p.m. July 12 about one mile east of the Arch Rock on-ramp when a 2019 Peterbilt driven by William J. Lehman, 54, of Bellefonte, traveled off the left side of the roadway. The driver attempted to correct, causing the semi-trailer to overturn and spill its load of grain. Lehman, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured. He was cited for failing to drive on the right side of the roadway.
Driver arrested after Mount Union crash
MOUNT UNION -- A Mount Union man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash on East Market Street.
Police said Cory L. James, 44, crossed into the opposite lane, struck a tree, a traffic sign and a second tree before coming to rest. James, who suffered suspected minor injuries, told police he had taken Ambien the night before. Charges are pending toxicology results.
