PORT ROYAL -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating the theft of packages from a residence on Market Street in Port Royal.
Police said a 24-year-old Port Royal man reported that he ordered three packages from Temu that were delivered outside his apartment building by UPS. When he went to retrieve them, the packages were gone.
Police listed the stolen items as towels valued at $20, a robot vacuum valued at $75 and a baby tent valued at $15.
The theft was reported at about 9:47 p.m. Aug. 11. Police said there are currently no suspects and a neighborhood canvass yielded negative results.
Police investigate fight in Fermanagh Township
MIFFLINTOWN -- Two men were cited following a reported fight on South Seventh Street in Fermanagh Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said troopers responded at about 8:27 p.m. Aug. 17 for a reported fight. The release provides no additional details about the circumstances of the altercation.
Father, son cited after altercation
MIFFLINTOWN -- A father and son were cited following a physical altercation on Hopple Street in Walker Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said troopers responded at about 11:36 p.m. Aug. 19 to a report of a father and son involved in a physical fight.
Following an investigation, police said both men were cited through district court. Police identified them as Timothy Hopple, 66, of Mexico, and Timothy Hopple, 38, of Mifflintown.
Neither man reported injuries.
Tractor-trailers collide at truck stop
MIFFLINTOWN -- Two tractor-trailers sustained minor damage in a crash at the Onvo Truck Stop in Fermanagh Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said the crash occurred at about 5:24 a.m. Aug. 12 in the parking lot along Stop Plaza Drive.
According to the crash report, a 2023 Freightliner was pulling from a parking space when its trailer struck the cab of a legally parked 2016 Freightliner.
The driver of the first vehicle and the occupant of the parked truck were not injured. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.
Driver cited after Mifflintown crash
MIFFLINTOWN -- A Mifflintown man was cited after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of William Penn Highway and Bridge Street, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said the crash occurred at about 12:50 a.m. Aug. 9 when a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Mirwais Mirzad, 24, of Mifflintown, failed to stop at a red light and struck the rear wheel of a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze.
The Cruze was driven by Nicholas J. Kerstetter, 30, of Mifflintown. Gabrielle E. Siegfried, 27, of Mifflintown, was a passenger in the Cruze.
All three were wearing seat belts and were not injured, according to police.
Mirzad was cited for failure to stop at a red signal. Both vehicles were damaged, and the Cruze was driven to a nearby residence.
Police investigate alleged indecent assaults
MIFFLINTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating allegations that a reflexologist in Fermanagh Township inappropriately touched multiple women during appointments.
Police said they received a complaint May 14 regarding an alleged indecent assault at a business on Cedar Street.
According to police, the suspect practiced reflexology at the location and allegedly rubbed victims’ breasts and buttocks during sessions under the guise of checking for lumps.
Police said they believe the suspect had appointments dating back to March 2025 and that additional alleged victims have yet to be identified.
The release lists six women, ranging in age from 22 to 58, as victims.
Police are asking anyone who has information or had an appointment with the suspect that was strange or made them feel uncomfortable to contact Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown at (717) 320-1010. The investigation is ongoing.
