LEWISTOWN -- Motorists can expect lane restrictions on several Mifflin County roads during the week of Aug. 31 as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation conducts bridge, shoulder and drainage maintenance, while projects in Juniata County will include bridge work, roadway sealing and pipe maintenance.
In Mifflin County, bridge maintenance and cleaning is scheduled on Route 22 between the Route 22 Business exit in Granville Township and the Route 322 interchange in Derry Township from Tuesday, Sept. 1, through Friday, Sept. 4. Single-lane closures will be in place.

Crews will also perform shoulder work on Route 103 between McVey's Road in Wayne Township and John Street in Bratton Township from Monday through Friday and along all of Route 3007, or Wakefield Road, in Oliver Township on Friday.
Flaggers will provide traffic control during daylight hours for the shoulder work and may use pilot vehicles. PennDOT reminds motorists who encounter a vehicle displaying a "Pilot Car Follow Me" sign and revolving yellow light to remain behind it until it leaves the roadway and not attempt to pass.
Side dozing is also scheduled along Route 322 between the Milroy and Reedsville-Belleville exits from Monday through Friday. Single-lane closures will be in place.
PennDOT said the shoulder and side-dozing work is intended to improve drainage, helping prevent pavement deterioration, potholes and winter icing conditions.
In Juniata County, bridge maintenance and cleaning is scheduled Monday through Friday on Route 2010, or Black Dog Road, at a bridge spanning a tributary of Cocolamus Creek approximately two miles southeast of Cocolamus in Delaware Township.
PennDOT has implemented a detour using Route 2015, or Ehrenzeller Road; Route 2012, or Leister Valley Road; and Route 2017, or Evendale Hill Road.
Joint and crack sealing and hot pour mastic work is scheduled Monday and Tuesday on Route 75 between Route 74 in Turbett Township and East River Road in Walker Township.
Similar work is planned Thursday and Friday on Route 35 between Route 3017, or Academia Road, in Beale Township and Route 3002, or Main Street, in Fermanagh Township.
Pipe replacement and cleaning is scheduled Monday through Friday on Route 3030, or Spruce Hill Road, between Creek Road and Matamoras Road in Spruce Hill Township.
Flaggers will provide traffic control during daylight hours for the Route 75, Route 35 and Spruce Hill Road projects and may use pilot vehicles.
