LEWISTOWN -- Motorists are being asked to avoid portions of Lehigh Alley and Susquehanna Avenue this week as the Borough of Lewistown completes milling and paving work.
Lehigh Alley will be closed between Wilson Avenue and West Charles Street, while Susquehanna Avenue will be closed from Grand Parkway North to the corner entrance of Mitchell Field.
Milling work is scheduled to continue Tuesday, with paving planned Wednesday through Friday.
The borough is asking motorists to avoid the affected areas and use alternate routes while the improvements are underway.
Work is expected to be completed Friday.
