Operation Spiritual Thunder in East Waterford
EAST WATERFORD -- Operation Spiritual Thunder will be Saturday, Aug. 29, beginning at 10 a.m. at the East Waterford Carnival Grounds, Horse Valley Road, East Waterford. The event is an annual fundraiser and Freedom Motorcycle Run, which raises money to help send people struggling with addiction to a Christian-based rehabilitation center. Proceeds benefit the Broken Heart Fund. The event begins with registration and a bike blessing at 10 a.m., followed by the Freedom Run at 11 a.m. Testimonies from people affected by addiction and recovery are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. with a music jam at 6 p.m. The event also includes a flea market, silent auction, vendors, children's activities and prizes for the best motorcycle and car.
