Farm to Table Gala Aug. 20 at Brookmere Winery
BELLEVILLE -- The Mifflin County Farm Bureau Women's Leadership Committee and Young Ag Professionals will host a Farm to Table Gala at Brookmere Winery in Belleville on Aug. 20. The gala features a meal prepared by Chef K of Solid Gold Concessions using locally sourced ingredients.
The chair and vice chair of the American Farm Bureau Promotion and Engagement committee will speak on the importance of consumer engagement.
The evening will start at 5:30 p.m. with appetizers. The meal will begin at 6 p.m.

Employer workplace seminar Sept. 29 at CareerLink
LEWISTOWN -- An employer workplace seminar sponsored by the Juniata Valley Employer Advisory Council will be Tuesday, Sept. 29 from 8:30 to 11:45 a.m. at PA CareerLink Mifflin County, 6395 Rte. 103 N., MCIDC Plaza, Building 58, Lewistown.
Guest Speakers Denise Elliott and Greg Archibald from the law office of McNees, Wallace and Nurick will discuss "Managing AI and Navigating Transgender Issues in the Workplace."
Check-in is at 8:30 a.m. The presentation will begin at 9 a.m. Cost is $40 per person. Make the check payable to J/V EAC and bring to the seminar. Pay at the door only. A turkey dinner will be provided.
