VA to host enrollment fair at Huntingdon clinic

HUNTINGDON -- The James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center will host a Veterans enrollment fair Saturday at the new Huntingdon Community Based Outpatient Clinic.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the clinic, 10892 Fairgrounds Road, and is open to all veterans and their caregivers, regardless of where they live.

Enrollment and eligibility specialists will be available to help veterans enroll in VA health care and answer questions about services offered through the Altoona VA Medical Center and the Huntingdon clinic. Representatives from Women's Health, Primary Care Social Work, Suicide Prevention and the Veterans Benefits Administration also will be on hand to provide information.

Veterans planning to enroll are encouraged to bring a copy of their DD Form 214, last year's financial information and insurance information to help expedite the application process.

The James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center and its five community-based outpatient clinics serve approximately 29,000 veterans across a 14-county region.
