Car hop makes stop at Lack-Tuscarora EMS on Saturday

Turn back the clock this weekend as the Lack-Tuscarora EMS is hosting a Car Hop at its station located at 9320 Route 75 in East Waterford on Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Cruise on in and enjoy delicious bites including hamburgers, hot dogs, chili, fries and their famous milkshakes from the comfort of your vehicle.

Operation Spiritual Thunder fundraiser on tap

Operation Spiritual Thunder will be held on Saturday at the East Waterford Carnival Grounds, Horse Valley Road in East Waterford, starting at 10 a.m. This is the annual freedom motorcycle run to help send people with addictions to a Christian-Based rehab center. Proceeds benefit the Broken Heart Fund.

The bike blessing and registration start at 10 a.m., following by kickstands up at 11 a.m. for the Freedom Run. The cost is $20 per bike and $5 for each rider. Cars are also welcome at $20 each. Prizes awarded for best bike and car. There will also be a flea market, silent auction and vendors on site. Plus, face painting, games and activities for the kids. People will be giving testimonies starting at 1 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs. The Music Jam starts at 6 p.m. For more information, call (717) 543-7122.

Indoor yard sale in Yeagertown

Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 132 N. Main St., Yeagertown, will host an indoor yard sale on Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There should be something for everyone ... household goods, baby items, toys and much more. Drinks will available, hot dogs and baked goods to enjoy, too. Just look for the balloons.

Sports card and TCG show on deck

The Mifflin County Sports Card and TCG Show will be held Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Reedsville Fire Hall, 16 Firehouse Blvd., Reedville. The fire hall is very spacious and modern with plenty of parking.

Barbecue chicken at Mifflintown VFW

LD2 Catering and BBQ is partnering with the Mifflintown VFW for a fundraiser on Sunday. Stop by the VFW parking lot, 24 S. Main St., Mifflintown, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to purchase a meal. Meals are $15 and include barbecue chicken halves, baked beans and macaroni and cheese. Proceeds benefit veterans.
