Borough hires part-time administrator

LEWISTOWN -- The Lewistown Borough Council approved hiring a part-time administrator for the borough on Monday in a special meeting.

Councilman Scott Gutshall moved to approve the recommendation to hire Roxanna Ruble pending a background check, and Councilman Jim Steele seconded.

Ruble will be paid $18 per hour for up to 30 hours a week.

In the absence of Councilman Larry Searer and Council Vice President Robert Barlett, council members approved the motion in a 5-0 roll call vote.

The Lewistown Borough Council will meet next in the council chambers in the Lewistown Municipal Building at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14.
