Valley View Retirement Community announced it will expand its memory care services later this year with the opening of The Landing at Memory Lane, a new Memory Personal Care neighborhood.

From staff reports

BELLEVILLE — Valley View Retirement Community is expanding its memory care services with the addition of a new Memory Personal Care neighborhood that will provide another level of support for individuals living with memory loss.

The expansion also includes renaming the building Memory Lane, which will house two distinct levels of memory care. The first floor will be known as The Landing at Memory Lane, while the second floor will become The Loft at Memory Lane.

“For years, Memory Lane has been recognized throughout the region for providing compassionate, person-centered memory care,” Geli Losch, executive director of memory services and community impact, said in a news release. “These new names honor that legacy while creating clear distinctions between the two levels of care offered within the building.”

Scheduled to open later this year, The Landing at Memory Lane will provide Memory Personal Care services in a studio apartment setting with supportive care, personalized assistance with daily routines and programs designed to encourage independence, choice and meaningful daily engagement.

The Loft at Memory Lane, formerly known simply as Memory Lane, will continue to provide skilled nursing memory care with 24-hour clinical support in a secure environment.

As part of the project, Valley View’s short-term rehabilitation services will relocate to the neighborhood adjacent to the therapy gym, allowing the Memory Lane building to be dedicated entirely to memory care.

Officials said those interested in The Landing at Memory Lane can join a reservation list for anticipated move-ins later this year by completing an interest form through Valley View Retirement Community. For more information, visit the community’s website or contact Losch at (717) 935-2105, ext. 1850.

Starting at $3.75/week.
