LEWISTOWN -- SUMMIT Early Learning is accepting applications for its free Head Start and Pre-K Counts preschool programs for the 2026-27 school year at its Lewistown and Strodes Mills locations.
The full-day programs serve children ages 3 and 4 whose families meet income eligibility guidelines. According to SUMMIT, the programs focus on preparing children for kindergarten through play-based learning and activities that support language, math and social-emotional development.
The organization also provides healthy meals and snacks and offers ongoing communication and support for families.
