Mifflintown man charged with DUI
MIFFLINTOWN -- A 22-year-old Mifflintown man was charged with driving under the influence after Pennsylvania State Police conducted a traffic stop May 30 on Frontz Lane in Mifflintown Borough for multiple traffic violations. Police said the driver of a 2004 Jeep Cherokee was found to be under the influence. Charges are pending.
Citation filed after domestic dispute
MIFFLINTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police responded to Cuba Mills Road at about 1:51 a.m. July 13 for a reported physical domestic dispute. Police said a citation was filed following the incident involving a 35-year-old Mifflintown man and a 34-year-old Mifflintown woman.
Lewistown man charged in lumber theft
McVEYTOWN -- A 25-year-old Lewistown man was charged after allegedly taking approximately $800 worth of cabinet-grade lumber from a barn on Boozel Lane in Wayne Township on June 28. Pennsylvania State Police said the victim, a 68-year-old McVeytown woman, reported the suspect was known to her. Charges were filed through district court.
Millheim woman arrested for suspected drug DUI
LEWISTOWN -- A 30-year-old Millheim woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after Pennsylvania State Police stopped a 2014 Chevrolet Captiva on U.S. Route 322 in Derry Township on July 3. Police said the driver displayed signs of impairment.
Victim declines charges in wheel theft
REEDSVILLE -- Pennsylvania State Police investigated the theft of eight aluminum wheels valued at $240 from a Brower Road property in Decatur Township on June 26. Police said the suspect was known, but the 67-year-old Lewistown victim declined to press charges.
Counterfeit bill used at Port Royal business
PORT ROYAL -- Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an incident in which someone allegedly used a counterfeit $100 bill marked "For Motion Picture Purposes" to purchase about $75 in gasoline and merchandise at the Exxon station in Port Royal on June 29. The investigation remains ongoing.
Driver arrested after found unconscious in vehicle
PORT ROYAL -- Pennsylvania State Police arrested a driver for driving under the influence after responding June 19 to a report of a vehicle stopped in the roadway at 871 Market St. in Port Royal. Police said the driver was found passed out inside a 2016 Ford Escape.
Man investigated following domestic dispute
PORT ROYAL -- Pennsylvania State Police investigated a reported physical domestic dispute at a residence on Conn Street in Port Royal at about 9:02 p.m. July 14. Police identified the parties as a 21-year-old Susquehanna Township man and a 20-year-old Port Royal woman.
