Driver cited after crash into utility pole
MCALISTERVILLE — A Richfield man was cited following a one-vehicle crash in Monroe Township, according to the Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said Terry Hosler, 66, was driving a 2003 GMC Sierra south on Black Dog Road at about 2 a.m. June 20 when the vehicle left the right side of the roadway, struck a utility pole and traveled down a small embankment into a wooded area. The truck struck several bushes and trees before coming to rest against a tree.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage. Hosler went to a nearby residence, where he waited for a family member. The crash was reported to police later that morning by the homeowner.
Hosler told police he was not injured and had been wearing a seat belt. He was cited in connection with the crash.
Maryland driver injured in Wayne Township crash
MOUNT UNION — A Maryland man was injured in a one-vehicle crash in Wayne Township on July 2, according to the Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said Yemesearch Taddele, 34, of Gaithersburg, Md., was driving a 2023 Hyundai Tucson south on U.S. Route 522 at about 11 p.m. when he reached the intersection with North Jefferson Street and failed to negotiate the turn.
The vehicle struck a traffic island and then a concrete barrier.
Taddele, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained injuries of unknown severity and was transported to Geisinger Lewistown Hospital for treatment.
Two cited after harassment incident
MIFFLINTOWN — An 18-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy, both of Mifflintown, were cited following a harassment incident July 3, according to the Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said the physical altercation resulted in approximately $140 in property damage. No additional information was released.
Tower City man charged with harassment
MCCLURE — A Tower City man was charged following a harassment investigation in Decatur Township, according to the Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Police said troopers responded to a residence on Whiskey Road at about 4:40 p.m. July 6.
Shawn Lucas, 50, of Tower City, was charged through Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Reed in connection with the incident. No additional details were released.
